No change

I haven't thought about my senior venture any more. Therefore I still have the same worries. I know this is a short blog but my other blog today will make up for it.

Another Software??

Now that I thought about it a little bit I realise that I should have Gimp and Photoshop on my computer. No one says that I can only use one software. With two softwares I could do stuff that 1 software wouldn't allow me to do. I just have to get down and talk to then tech coordinator and get it on my computer.

Planning for Christmas Break

I have to finish my research paper before Christmas break which is good because I don't want to have to worry about it during break. Over break though I am hopefully going to meet with my mentor 1 or twice.....twice being better. I am also going to start designing my pictures and hopefully go HAM and get most of them done.

Need to meet

I haven't met with my mentor yet but I might be going there twice during my christmas break. I also need to start designing but you know YOLO.

Paper

I haven't really worked on my research paper in a while so I am worried that I won't get it done one time or mett the page limit. The reason I haven't worked on it is because I do the homework that is due sooner first. When I have extra time is when I work on homework due later. Thats the problem though, I never have extra time.

Pictures uploaded

This last weekend I got my pictures uploaded onto a thumb drive and my dads laptop. I wasn't able to put them on my computer because this school has them on lock down. But thats fine as long as they are on the thumb drive I can plug it into my computer.

Falling behind fast

I really am slowing down on my senior venture. I still want to meet with my mentore before Christmas and I have to get my pictuers on my computer and then I have to start designing. If I had know senior year was going to be this busy I wouldn't have done a senior project that I knew nothing about.

Yup

I just want to state a consern that I have right now and its that I am afraid to start designing my pictures. The reason for this is becase I think its going to be really hard and I will have a lot of mess ups.

So Much

I really want to start working on my pictures but I keep putting off senior venture. I feel like we are doing to much in English right now and its swamping our kids with to much work. I know personally myself that after working on English and my research paper for so long I don't feel like designing pictures. Hopefully things will get easier after Christmas when our research paper is done.

Picture over

Woo I finished taking my pictures yesterday so my next step is to print them out at walmart and then I can load them to my computer and start designing.

Dress up

I let everyone know that today is the day that I am taking my pictures. Everyone came looking better than normal. I think I am taking my pictures around government and lunch.

Picture Day

Tomorrow will be my day for senior picture pictures. I am letting everyone know so they dress how they want.

End of the Month

Wow I feel like I haven't got anything done on my project and the months are going by so fast. I havent even started designing the pictures yet.

Picture date

I have decided to post pone the picture date because this week is really messed up I will tell everyone to dress nicer for the 27th because thats when I will now take my pictures.

Picture date

I am now setting up when I will take my pictures so everyone can dress the way they would like. I think it will be on November 20th.

Mentor forms

I got my mentor forms back and I am relieved. I need to organize my binder a little bit and put some more stuff into it. I think it is coming along good. I have to get a day to take my pictures though.

Organize

I am starting to get some of my things done like forms. Earlier in the year I organized my whole binder. Now with the stuff I have I need to put it in my binder. I have sections for each thing.

So pumped

I finally got a hold of my mentor and got her mailing address now my forms get sent today. I am excited to finally almost have that done.

Plan on Mailing

Tonight I am going to call me mentor again to get her mailing address to send her the forms that were due on friday. Yea I know they will be really late but dang I am going to be happy once I get them back.

Lost

I feel so behind in my senior venture already just because of forms.......thye suck. The only ones I have left are my mentor ones. Which I found out last night that they arn't even mailed yet. I thought they were so know I have to mail them and hopefully get them back soon.

I hate forms

There are way to many forms that are in senior venture. I still have to get my parent form, mentor forms, and adviser forms done. The deadline are coming up fast to. I really hate senior venture.

Over my head

I think I went overboard on my project because I found out the working on pictures of people is really hard. I have no experience and really I should of took some kind of class before this. I am kind of worried about what my turn out will be.

Mentor sheets

I printed off the mentor agreement form and the other sheets for her to sign and look over. I also thinnk I am going to take my pictures soon and hopefully start working on them because basketball is starting soon. I need to get designing.

Kinda Tough

Gosh I am having a hard time editing pictures with people in them to do what I want. Pictures hace a different text kinda of thing to them s making it partly transparent doesnt work. I also haven't taken any pictures yet.

Practice

When I first got Gimp I practiced to see what i could do on it but ever since then I haven't touched it. I missed a day so I had home work. Now I found out that I threw one of my assignments away and I also have to make up a physics assignment. Lets just say I have a lot of stuff to do before I can continue working on gimp.

No progress

I havent made anymore progress since last time because I had my mount marty tour yesterday and if you want to know how it went read my post on power tower because I don't want to retype it.

Starting the outline

Yesterday we were suppose to start our outline but not the research yet. I am pretty far on my outline already cause I took a whole srb to do it. Right now I can't think of anything to add but I will keep thinking on it.

Waiting for corrections

I got the rough draft from Mrs. Schnieder and made the corrections she pointed out. The proposal was then handed out to all my advisers and I am waiting to see if they have anything to add.

A weight has been lifted

I now got my mentor so I can throw myself a little party. Once again I forgot the name but she lives in wagner. What a relief to have that out of the way.

Got the Name

Last night I talked to Denelle and she gave me the name of the person in wager who could help me. Of course I have already forgot the name but Denelle is pretty sure that she can be my mentor and I will get the number to ask her sometime tonight.

Retyping the proposal

Today in srb I will retype my proposal with the corrections to it. Also either tonight or tomorrow i will call for my mentor. I have had to wait this long to talk to Denelle about it because we were waiting till we order my senior pictures. At the end of this week I will have a lot of stress off my shoulders unless Mrs. Schneider makes us go hard on our research paper which will make me more stressed because I hate research papers.

Nothing done

I didn't find my menotr yet because last night and tonight there is stuff going on for coronation. I really need to find my mentor though so I can stop worrying about that already.

Talking

Yesterday I had a conversation with Mr. Hornstra. It went well but he was concerned that I didn't have a mentor yet. The deadline must be coming up for that. Sometime this week I will probably have to talk to my senior picture taker and see if her graphic designer could be my mentor.

Working on the proposal

Well I just retyped by proposal and I am still bugging about finding a mentor. Being a senior I have just so much stuff going on that I can't stay focused on one thing. I really need more time.

Typed

This will be a short blog because I don't have much to talk about and I am going over to decorate for coorination. I just typed my proposal because I had it hand written. I know I will get it back saying i need to go into mkore detail.

Turning in the acceptence letter

Yesterday was the deadline for the acceptence letter. I don't know if thats the right name but its the form where I sign my name saying yes I will do a senior venture. So for the most part it was really easy. I also am working on my proposal because Mrs. Schnieder is going to look at them today. Ugh senior venture isn't very fun.

Redueing

Well tomorrow the approval form is due but thats an easy form to do. In personal finance we talked about all of the forms that are coming due. After we talked about the forms I now have to go back and add on to the description form. I also need to get my parents to sign their form and figure out a mentor so I can get them to sign their form as well.

No progress

Well since my last blog I haven't even thought any more about my project. Oh scratch that I actually was trying to come up with my thesis statment for my research paper. Lets just say that I still don't have it and I tried really hard. But I have this really mean English teacher that kept saying it wasnt good and I have to think of a new one. Haha I liked the one I had so I am keeping it.

Research topic

Well somtime in the near future I will talk to Mrs. Schneider about what I want my topic to be for my research paper. I am thinking of where graphic design came from or how photoshop got started. I kinda wanna do something that sounds interesting. Like history of photoshop would be boring I think. I don't know I will figure something out like I always do.

Cost Analysis

I am having a hard time figuring out how much I think that this project will costs. Because I havent decided what type of software I am using, I can't check to see how much it will costs. Another expense is printing out the pictures in Walmart which shouldn't be to much. I am sure there will be some unforseen expenses like gas but that depends on who my mentor is and how far the person is away.

now started

I can finally say that I am making progress on my senior venture project. I have filled out the first form. The approval form to get my topic cleared. I don't know if I am suppose to bring it to Prehiem now or wait till the deadline cause I kinda wanna get my topic cleared fast so I can get to finding a mentor. I have a pretty good idea who my mentor will be and I will talk to him about what software he thinks would be the best to use for grpahically designing pictures.

Program

Well I was pretty sure that I was going to use photoshop for my picture editing but now im not so sure. Mr. Preheim had a good point that even though potoshop is good there might still be a better software for graphiclly designing photos. I will have to do a little more research on it and find the right mentor and ask that person what they use. Over all I think this will be a small problem to fix.

Approval form

Well I am going to start working on my approval form for my project today. This will be the first of many papers that I will be filling out this year. If this project gets cleared then I can start on more forms and getting a mentor. I plan to get started on my project right away but I have been known to procrastinate so well see how that goes.

The challenge

I think my senior venture project has many challenges that I will have to face. One being learning how to graphic design the pictures and another is learning how to use the graphic design program that I want to use. On top of all that I will want to make a sideshow and a small book of all my before and after pictures.

Stuck again

I have not made any more progress on my senior venture other than thinking bout things that I would like to graphic design on pictures. I think this project will be cool because once I finish it I always have that skill to use. Plus I think it could be a good hobby to get into when I get bored.

Getting my Idea

I think I have figured out what I want to do for my senior project so if this idea gets a no go then I am screwed. I think I want to take pictures of every one in my class and then graphic design them with photoshop into some cool design. Then once I finish the designs I want to make a small before and after video to be able to see the difference.

My Fears

My biggest fear for my senior project next year is my research paper. Just off of the one I did this year I was freaking. Laziness is also a big factor, I am not very good at getting everything done. Unless its over something I really love. I want to do something that makes people happy. I am expecting to do something along gaming. I of course will have to do something intense with the gaming for it to be a stretch but I think I can figure something out. Who knows maybe I will make the next big thing in gaming and become a millionare. Now that I think about it I might want to invent something because that has never been done before. I guess I will have to decide soon enough but until then I'll look for things that interest me.
